About The Mermayd

She belongs to the sea, but walks among us for a while.

Mermayd Melynna lives at the meeting point of myth and movement.

Part muse, part traveler, part ocean spirit, she creates imagery inspired by coastlines, salt air, golden light, and the ancient pull of the sea. The mermaid is more than an aesthetic. She represents transformation, intuition, freedom, sensuality, and the call to return to one’s truest nature.

In her non-mythical life, Melynna is also a devoted yogini and teacher with more than 30 years of practice and study.

For her, yoga is far more than physical movement. It is a lifelong practice rooted in awareness, discipline, compassion, and inner connection. Guided by principles of integrity and purposeful living, yoga remains central to how she moves through the world.

Melynna is also a wanderer of the tides.

Her path has been shaped by reinvention across many chapters of life. In her teenage years, she experienced religious oppression that challenged her sense of freedom and belonging. Becoming a mother at a young age added another profound dimension to her journey, deepening her strength, responsibility, and devotion.

In her twenties and thirties, displacement followed through instability, loss and broken promises, requiring her to rebuild with greater independence and self-trust. Later, war once again uprooted her life, asking for resilience on an even deeper level.

Through these experiences, travel became more than movement across geography. It became transformation.

Across borders, cultures, and coastlines, Melynna cultivated strength, adaptability, perspective, and grace. Today, she travels the world creating, exploring, and sharing beauty. Her work is an invitation to embrace freedom, feminine strength, serenity, curiosity, and joyful self-expression.

Above all, Mermayd Melynna leads with love.

She believes in loving-kindness toward all beings, and in the quiet power of presence, generosity, softness, and human connection.
